Carpentry (DVS 5819)
The Carpentry program trains students for work in residential, institutional, commercial, and civil construction. Carpenters perform tasks such as laying out structures, pouring concrete, building floors, walls, roofs, and stairs, installing doors, windows, insulation, and furniture, and finishing interiors and exteriors. They also estimate projects, interpret data, and develop skills in communication, teamwork, and equipment operation.
